Sharing Values Across Communities
IGE UK facilitated a pilot seminar for stakeholders of the five Comino Centres in England in March 2007 and in 2008 ran a series of workshops on sharing values and promoting personal responsibility with:
Comino Centre, John Moores University, Liverpool – working with staff and of Local Solutions, a social enterprise organisation delivering cutting-edge services to ‘disadvantaged’ areas across Merseyside, and for staff of Homeground, a residence for young homeless people.
Comino Centre, Centre for Science Education at Sheffield Hallam University – working with members of the Primary Science Editorial Board and contributing the article Making Tough Choices in the September/October edition which was focused on Science and Ethics.
Comino Centre, Wigan Education Business Partnership – delivering Continuous Professional Development (CPD) for teachers engaged in the Classrooms in Companies project across Wigan Local Education Authority, specifically on the teaching of controversial issues.
